Indieflix Movie Series – LIKE

Posted: February 11, 2022

We are delighted to be able to partner with Indieflix to bring our community a series of documentaries that inspire positive action, personal revelation and social changes for all ages. The educational messages in these movies closely align with our commitment to wellbeing and enabling students to flourish. Here is an overview of these movies.  We would like to thank the DCPTA for their support in bringing these movies to our community.

The first in the series is LIKE, which will be viewed and discussed by Years 7,11 and 12 during online learning next week.

LIKE breaks down why we find social media so irresistible, examines who is controlling who, and gives you the tools to pivot to a more balanced and contented relationship. It features Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, including the co-creator of the ‘LIKE’ button, experts in brain science and regular teenagers.

See this link for the trailer.

Part of our commitment to this important aspect of wellbeing is to provide the opportunity for parents to watch alongside their children at home. There will also be supporting resources available to help guide conversations at home. We do have a limited number of views available, so please complete this form by Monday 14 February if you wish to watch the entire documentary with your family.
