From 1 August 2022, Gateway will be turned off for parents. From the start of the academic year all parent access to Discovery College digital systems will be through the ESF App and Ding!
What do I need to do?
After 1 August please visit the App Store/Google Play Store to check for updates to the ESF App. You will also receive a message asking you to log out, and log back into the App to update your access.
The new version of the ESF App will provide a number of new features. It will also provide you with a link to log directly into Ding! for any features not provided on the App.
What will this mean for me?
Almost all parent access to student information including assessment, timetable, absences, homework and Covid declarations is already through the ESF App.
Things you currently interact with on Gateway that are moving to Ding!:
- Yearly demographic data checking (which will occur with a prompt after the app is reactivated for the commencement of the new academic year)
- Activities, Trips and CCA selection, permissions and payment
This change completes the integration of our systems for parents and also supports student agency as it will allow students to select activities and CCAs (from Year 4 onwards), with parents receiving App messages so they can discuss with their child, approve, and pay for these.
