HLG Kart Race

Posted: October 28, 2022

Crowds and racers gathered for the HLG Kart Race, a community fundraising event, on the morning of 15 October along Discovery Bay Road. Eight DC students raced in the event, taking home prized memories and trophies. Travis, who crashed his kart and then rode it to the finish line, said, “I was terrified to crash, and it happened. So, moral of the story, don’t be scared, but it might still happen.” Some other team members had this to say about the race.

“I just tried to be as aerodynamic as possible.” — Tino
“If something happens, you have to keep going.” — Daniel
“It’s not about winning, it’s about having fun.” — Ashvin

At the end of the race, three members of our DC team earned “fastest freestyler” and stood on the winner’s podium to receive their trophies.
