As we adjust to the change in weather, we would like to take this opportunity to discuss our school uniform.
Our DC uniform serves as a powerful visual symbol of unity and community spirit. It is a source of pride for us all, as it is a representation of our belonging to the ESF community and our commitment to uphold the values it represents.
Our uniform policy exists to ensure that all students are dressed in a manner that is appropriate for a learning environment, and is respectful of the diverse community in which we live. To help clarify the expectations, particularly with regard to outerwear that is suitable for cooler temperatures, we invite you to review our uniform guidance here.
Of particular note, we would like to highlight that while students may choose to wear various forms of outerwear on their way to school, certain items such as hoodies are not considered appropriate attire within the school building. We understand that comfort and warmth are important, especially during cooler months, and we appreciate your support in ensuring that your child complies with this part of our uniform policy.
Non-uniform items
During times of particularly cold weather, non-uniform items may be worn to and from school in order to provide warmth. Once at school, however, only the official school uniform may be worn, regardless of the time of year.
We believe that by adhering to this policy, we can maintain a school environment that is conducive to learning while also fostering a sense of community pride and unity. We appreciate your ongoing support in reinforcing these standards with your child and ensuring that they come to school each day dressed in accordance with our policy.
Should you have any questions or concerns related to the uniform policy, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
