We are thrilled to announce that the 15th Hong Kong Young Writers Awards is now open for submissions, and we invite your child to participate in this exciting competition.
The Hong Kong Young Writers Awards is a prestigious event that celebrates the creative talents of young writers across Hong Kong and Macao. This year’s theme is “New Tales of China’s Inventions.” Students are encouraged to explore this theme and express their ideas through fiction, non-fiction, or poetry. Alternatively, there is a cover art category. It is a wonderful opportunity for your child to showcase their skills and let their creativity shine.
There are 3 primary school categories to choose from:
- Writing (500 word count)
- Writing (1000 word count)
- Cover Art
From the received entries, our school will select ten outstanding pieces to be forwarded as finalists to the Hong Kong Young Writers Awards. These finalists will have the chance to compete against other talented young writers from various schools in the region.
We are eagerly looking forward to viewing the submissions of our talented students. Their unique perspectives and creativity will undoubtedly make this year’s competition a memorable one. Encourage your child to embrace this opportunity and unleash their imagination through the power of words.
To participate, students can submit their original pieces by January 10th, 2024. We kindly request that you ensure your child’s submission is accompanied by the necessary details, including your child’s full name and year level. Further details about the categories can be found at the end of this invitation.
