A large delegation of 29 students attended the Model United Nations Conference on 13 and 14 January at King George V School. The conference provided an opportunity for students to debate in model fora such as the United Nations General Assembly, the Hong Kong Legislative Council, and the UN Security Council. As one of the most well-attended conferences of our MUN calendar, students had worked hard beforehand to prepare their speeches and research the delegations they were assigned to represent.
Our students did very well at this conference. Particular congratulations go to Hunter Clausen who won the Best Delegate award in his committee, and also to Mark Koung, Nathan Kamadinata, Katie Parker, Rysa Bahri, Teresa Wang, Catherine Wang, Tvisha Valakati, and Alexander Nolens-Liu, all of whom received honourable mentions.
Our Model United Nations group are taking part in their next conference (the Hong Kong Model United Nations Conference) in mid March.
