We are excited to be able to share a new suite of Parent and Domestic Worker Education opportunities for Term 2 with you all. For those of you who may be new to DC this term, our parent education programme aims to build a ‘parents as partners’ approach to supporting students as they journey through school life at DC by:
• Informing parents of the different aspects of the IB programmes (PYP, MYP, CP, DP)
• Equipping parents with the relevant and current strategies to support learning at home
• Identifying and addressing needs that arise from the parent community
• Strengthening relationships and communication between the school and home
The first of these opportunities is a workshop for MYP Parents on ‘Interdisciplinary learning in the MYP’ which will take place from 8.30 – 10am on January 17.
We also have an Introduction to the PYP Exhibition for Year 6 parents on January 22 and a Parent Connect Coffee Morning which all parents are invited to attend on January 26.
