Agency in Action Projects: Fostering Creativity and Collaboration

Posted: March 15, 2024

It is with great excitement that we announce that Agency in Action will continue in semester 2. Students in MYP Year 7-10 will embark on entrepreneurship projects this year, while our Year 11 students will be participating in Work Experience Week.

In addition to the entrepreneurship project, we are pleased to introduce a collaborative project-based learning initiative this year. Collaborative project-based learning is an approach that encourages students to work together on a multifaceted task or project. Collaborative project-based learning involves active exploration, investigation, transfer of academic knowledge, and development of essential skills. For students who do not wish to participate in the entrepreneurship program, this is another option.

The culminating showcase for our Entrepreneur Expo and Collaborative Project-based learning is scheduled for 21 June 2024. More details will be shared as the dates approach, and we look forward to seeing the innovative and collaborative work of our students.

Both opportunities are designed to empower our students, providing them with a platform to exercise their creativity and learn the value of teamwork and communication. Through the entrepreneurship project, students will have the chance to develop their financial literacy, gain practical business insights, and hone their entrepreneurial skills.

Students have already indicated their project pathways. We encourage parents to engage in conversations with their children about their interests and ideas related to these projects. Your involvement as a mentor in their journey can foster invaluable support and guidance, further enhancing their learning experience.

Here’s a look back at last year’s entrepreneurship project.
