Next Thursday (25 April) sees the return of Secondary Sports Day. During the morning, Year 7’s – 9’s will be competing for their houses in a range of athletic events.
Students are to wear house shirts for the morning (feel free to accessorise in house colours for the event). Each of the three-year groups will be out on the foreshore for one block and parents are welcome to attend and cheer them on.
Year 7 – 8.30am – 9.50am (block 1)
Year 9 – 10.10am – 11.30am (block 2)
Year 8 – 11.30 am – 12.20pm (block 3)
Although this is a ‘mini’ version of the Sports Day we hope to see lots of house spirit, enthusiasm and enjoyable competition. Next year, we aim to expand this event to the remaining year groups, more events and a longer schedule, but it was an important step to get Sports Day back on the calendar.
