Discovery College hosted its very first LiveAid DC, a charity music competition, on 5 June.
From classical piano to original singing performances, this night was filled with an abundance of talented DC students.
LiveAid DC was organised by a group of Year 12 students- Prisha Bhatnagar, Jasnoor Kaur, Tvisha Valakati, Riya Saha, Kacee Tam, Krish Bhandari and Neferane Dawelbait, who worked together to create this fundraising event full of musical performances from Years 7 to 11, showcasing our DC students’ ability to come together and make a difference.
Following the musical performances, judges – Mr. Bolton and Mr. Michael Li – announced the winners.

Winner of Senior Category – Yega Chung
90 tickets were sold, raising HKD 3600 for Sunshine Action Charity. All of the proceeds will be donated to this charity. Sunshine Action Hong Kong is a charity that specialises in helping those in poverty by providing them with packaged food, toiletries and necessities.
LiveAid DC would like to express their gratitude towards Ms. O’Connor who helped the team throughout the entire process of organising the event. We would also like to thank Mr. Tate, Ms. Cheng, Mr Davis, Ms. Devi and Ms. Tam for all their help. Last but not the least, a heartfelt thank you to all the parents who took the time to attend the event.
