Discovery College offers quality instrument lessons from highly experienced peripatetic music tutors conveniently located in our school’s music rooms. Our tutors are not only highly experienced tutors but also professional musicians in Hong Kong. They are outside providers who conduct private lessons independent of curriculum classes. Our tutors offer lessons on a range of instruments including woodwind, brass, strings, guitar, bass guitar, piano, voice and drum kit. Please click HERE to learn more about our music tutors.
This Year’s lessons will be divided into two Semesters:
Semester 1 will commence on the week starting Monday, September 9 2024 and end on Friday, January 24 2025 providing a total of 15 sessions.
Semester 2 will commence on the week starting Monday, February 10 2025, and end on Friday, June 6 2025 providing a total of 15 sessions.
We are happy to announce that the Peripatetic Music programme is open for enrolment for Semester 1. This is only for students from Year 2 and above.
Lessons are divided into 30-minute or 1-hour sessions. The cost of each lesson is as per below.
- 30-minute individual – $355/lesson
- 30-minute pair (only offered for electric/acoustic guitar) – $225/lesson
- 1-hour individual – $710/lesson
Payment will be made through bank transfer or PayMe to music tutors directly. Once enrolled, you will be contacted with the bank details of the specific tutor in order to make payment. Payments must be received by the music tutor prior to the start of the first lesson.
To promote the instruction of brass, strings, and selected woodwind instruments, DC hires these specific instruments free of charge to students who participate in the peripatetic music programme. Applications to check out these instruments will be based on the order in which applications are submitted to the College and the suitability of instruments to students.
