Responsible Use Agreement

Posted: August 23, 2024

As technology continues to evolve and play an increasingly prominent role in education, it’s crucial for parents to stay informed about the expectations surrounding ALL digital devices and technologies in the school setting.

The school has rewritten their guidance and expectations with regards to their Digital Responsible Use agreement to align with ESF Digital Citizenship Framework. This framework focuses on 4 key areas:

Both primary and secondary students will be looking at these expectations over the first several weeks of the school term in order to fully understand how we can be positive Digital Citizenship users and make positive contributions in a virtual setting. Parents should familiarise themselves with this updated guidance material, and discuss these expectations with their children.

Furthermore, parents should be aware of the resources available to them through the school’s parent portal. By staying informed and working in partnership with the school, parents can help ensure that their children navigate the digital landscape responsibly and effectively.

You can find many general resources to help conversations at home on the Parent Portal page here.
