A successful first year for the UNICEF SDG Art Competition

Posted: September 13, 2024

Students from Years 10 and 11 worked with UNICEF last year in creating Discovery College’s first rendition of the UNICEF SDG Art Competition, targeting DC students between Years 4 and 11. This competition acted as a great opportunity for students to express themselves through art while advocating for Sustainable Development Goals.

Through working with UNICEF for this event, the mission is to raise awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals and influence others to take action for our planet. This competition also aims to promote advocacy amongst young students, leading to an even more sustainable future for our community. The team that worked on this competition goal consisted of six members: Rysa Bahri, Katie Parker, Alexander Nolens-Liu, Vivian Gao, Jasmine Yeung, and Yudam Jang.
