The student grant for 2024/25 will be open for application on 13 September 2024. Starting this academic year, EDB will extend the e-submission of student grant applications to all schools, including ESF schools and kindergarten. Parents/guardians of students studying at Discovery College can submit online applications via the Student Grant e-Submission Platform (e-platform).
EDB will inform the applicants of the application status and other related matters via SMS and/or email. Applicants can also check their application status on the e-platform and use its other functions, such as updating or amending information or uploading supporting documents as requested by EDB.
Preparation
To submit online applications for the student grant, parents must have a user account of “iAM Smart+” with a digital signing function.
Parents WITHOUT “iAM Smart+” account:
– Search and download iAM Smart+ mobile app. The new version iAM Smart+ will appear on your phone.
Parents WITH “iAM Smart” account:
– Upgrade the old version to iAM Smart+ on your mobile phone
If parents experience any problems with “iAM Smart+” download/upgrade or account set-up, they can register for “iAM smart+” in person at the “iAM Smart” self-registration kiosks or registration service counters with around 170 locations, including Post Offices in various districts.

13 September – 2 October, 2024. No extension after the deadline.

When completing the student information, please check, enter or revise the following details correctly (if the system permits). This will facilitate the verification process.
- School name: Discovery College
- School code: 569747 (for first-time applicants, use this code to search school)
- Student name: Full name as per passport.
- Class level & Class name: Please click this link to follow the proper format
If your application cannot be verified by the school, you will receive an SMS message/email from EDB. Please log in to the Student Grant e-Application platform to make the necessary amendments within 7 days. Otherwise, your application will be regarded as invalid and will not be further processed.

Paper Applications (3 October – 13 November 2024)
If you missed the e-submission deadline, parents can still choose to submit the completed paper application forms to EDB through the schools after 3 October 2024. However, only one application, either in electronic form (e-form) or paper form, can be submitted for each eligible student. Please visit the Student Grant website to download a blank application form (Form A), which will be available on 3 October 2024.
