We have hundreds of tickets to give away to our wonderful ESF community for three music concerts taking place throughout September at the Shaw Auditorium at HKUST.

Classics from the Classical Period – Thursday, 12 Sept (7.30pm – 9pm)
A celebration of classical music performed by the Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra and including illuminating introductions to each piece. The programme includes Mozart’s captivating Overture to the Magic Flute, Beethoen’s dramatic Octet for Winds in E-flat Major, Op. 103 and Haydn’s sweeping Symphony No. 82 in C Major, ‘L’Ours.

Image and Sound – Monday, 16 Sept (7:30pm – 9pm)
Watch award-winning animated short films while listening to the mesmerising music of Swiss pianist Louis Schwizgebel. Louis will play pieces by Chopin, Mendelssohn, Schubert-Liszt while the audience sit back and enjoy a screening of artistic animations created by his father Georges Schwizgebel.

Sound of English Strings – Thursday, 20 Sept (7:30pm – 8:30pm)
Performed by Hong Kong-based string chamber ensemble Asiartic Camerata, this concert presents masterpieces by eminent English composers of the 19th and 20th centuries, such as Benjamin Britten, Edward Elgar and Gustav Holst – all meticulously crafted for string orchestras.

Tickets are available on a first-come-first first-served basis. We suggest a maximum of 6 tickets per person.

Once tickets have run out, you will see a message saying Sold Out on the ticketing page.

Children under the age of 6 will not be admitted.

The concert is free seating.

Present the ticket to venue staff at the entrance of the performance venue before the performance starts.

One person per ticket regardless of age.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the performance starts. Latecomers will only be admitted at a suitable break

Parking is available at a reasonable cost.
