Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Irrespective of the unhelpful T8, we’ve had a great week at DC Primary, filled with activities that not only brought us together but also celebrated the wonderful diversity and kindness within our community. From Odd Sock Day to our Mini Sports Day sessions, there’s plenty to share about the moments we’ve experienced together this week.
Diversity and Kindness
This week, on Tuesday (12 November) we celebrated Odd Sock Day, a fun and colourful expression of our commitment to diversity and kindness.
It was a delight to see such a variety of socks brightening our halls and classrooms! This special day ties into our Learner Profile attribute of Caring, which we focused on during our whole school assembly on Wednesday and will focus on for the remainder of this term. We discussed the many ways we can show kindness to one another, reinforcing the positive impact of caring actions in our community. Please see a video that our Primary School Student leaders created.
Mini Sports Day
We were thrilled to have more places to play within our campus due to No Boundaries, allowing us to host a mini sports day in Years 1, 2 and Year 5. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to engage in teamwork, enjoy healthy competition, and have a few extra hours of physical activity.
Introducing Tianee Fong
We are incredibly excited to introduce a long-awaited addition to the Primary office. Tianee Fong joined us this week as PA to the Head of Primary. Tianee is a fantastic addition to our team and is available at the Primary office email address. Feel free to send her a warm welcome!
