Professor Bob Ford and Moyim Kwok from the University of Manchester visited Discovery College on Thursday 17 March.
Professor Ford gave a talk linking his research on anti-cancer drugs to stem cells and Collie dogs. A student commented afterwards that the talk was very interesting, and that she was pleased that she could understand all of the content. She would not have been able to do this before starting her DP Biology course.
Ms Kwok provided students with information on the Life Science courses available at the University of Manchester, and what DC students need to enter these courses.
