On 8 and 9 of October the Year 3s embarked on their fun-filled camp to the YWCA Sydney Leong in South Lantau. The 120 intrepid students led their 20 nervous adult guides through two days of activities and tasks that focused on attitudes from team building and creativity to communication and cooperation. Throughout the camp the focus was on developing a sense of independence and an understanding of caring and empathy. Making beds, being responsible for personal belongings and looking after each other in different situations all while being away from home helped the students to develop these vital life skills. The Year 3 team would like to take the opportunity to thank all the adult and parent volunteers who took part and helped to make this an EPIC experience that will stay with the students forever.
