Half the Y9 & 10 Humanities students were privileged to hear a moving first-hand account from a helper who recently won a case against her employers who had been mistreating her. Before hearing the helper’s story, we watched a video by the ‘Unsung Heroes’ (a choir made up of DB Helpers) singing ‘I wish I could kiss you goodnight’. Both the song and the talk helped remind us of the sacrifice our wonderful helpers make in leaving their families behind to come and look after our families.
