World Storytelling Day on 20 March was celebrated by the Y1 students with a fun filled and exciting morning of storytelling. The students were treated to stories being shared by more than 15 guest presenters including Mr Beach, Mrs Ellery and many other staff members. The Y12 Spanish students enthusiastically presented some much-loved stories, including ‘The 3 Billy Goats Gruff’ and ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’, demonstrating to us that stories can be entertaining and fun to listen to even in languages that we may not fully understand. The morning started with a parade where students were given the opportunity to come dressed as their favourite story book character. This day of celebration allowed the students to further inquire into and appreciate that stories can be created and shared to entertain.
