Determining final MYP Personal Project grades is a detailed process. It involves all secondary teachers reviewing, moderating and coming to common agreement on final criterion scores and overall 1-7 grade. After this, the Personal Project and MYP Coordinator randomly select several project reports for further moderation. This is especially involved as the IB has introduced new criteria for assessing the Personal Project.
We understand that students and their families are keen to know final results. It is important to us that we’re accurate in our assessment of all Personal Project reports. We plan to let Y11 students know their final criterion scores and overall grade on Wednesday 15 April. We ask for your understanding and patience, and hope that families appreciate that the process we’ve described above is thorough and in the best interests of students.
