Scholarship programme changes

Posted: December 11, 2015

The School Council has recently approved some updates to the DC Scholarship Programme to better align the process with current practice and budget realities.

The changes include:

  • limiting the applications from current DC students to only those entering Years 11-13
  • reinforcing the expectation that students receiving scholarships remain at DC through graduation from Year 13, provided the family remains in Hong Kong

Accepting applications from current DC students only entering Years 11-13 allows the College to recognise those students whose talents and contributions to the College are most significant. Although we know there are talented students at all levels of the College, given the limited scholarship resources and the expectation that scholarship students serve as role models, contribute significantly to the school, and display considerable skill and achievement in their area of expertise, the students in the senior school are better positioned to demonstrate these attributes.

Additional information about the application process for the 2016-17 academic year is available on our website.
