Tuesday 24 May saw 8 Primary Schools involved in the DC Y5 Swim Meet. Schools participating were: DBIS, Nord Anglia IS, Kellett Pok Fu Lam, Kellett Kowloon Bay, Sha Tin Junior, Bradbury, Kennedy, Renaissance College and DC. With students allowed to enter three individual events and the relay, it was a full schedule and enjoyable day.
DC swimmers competed well, recording some very positive times against swimmers of a very high calibre. Stand-out performers were Eloise Raper (champion 50m girls Backstroke) & Aidan Leung (champion 25m boys Backstroke) as well as the girls A team 4 x 50m Freestyle relay team who placed first in their heat and second overall for the girls event. A great performance by DC seeing the team place 4th overall with Kennedy school taking the Team Champions honours.
A huge thanks to the many volunteers who came and timed, marshalled and supported our DC Cobras. Also thanks to Amanda and Kylie for their super coaching and efforts on the day.
