Congratulations to the Discovery College primary chess players who participated in the 7th Annual Hong Kong Scholastic Championship last Sunday at the Australian International School.
The players competed for and won individual and school prizes in each primary section:
P1-P2: Champion Prize School Team. Players: Savin Peramunetilleke, Nathan Chang, Noah Michishita and Mahir Uppal. Mahir and Savin also won individual prizes: 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.
P3-P4: 3rd Prize School Team. Players: Seth Peramunetilleke and Noah Chang. Seth also won individual 2nd place in this age category.
P5-P6: 3rd Prize School Team. Players: Miguel Angel Garceran Wang and Mei Jing Garceran Wang. Miguel won the Age 11 winner medal and Mei Jing won the individual best girl trophy.
