CIS (Council of International Schools) has just informed us that we have successfully completed the Preparatory Evaluation and DC has been granted candidate status for CIS Re-Accreditation. We will now proceed to the next stage of the process which is the Self Study followed by a Team Visit of Peer Educators in November 2018.
Highlights
DC met or exceeded all 114 standards grouped into 8 Domains covering all areas of our operation.
Our Preparatory Visitors gave us 17 Major Commendations and 34 Commendations They rated us as ’Exceeding” in 11 of Standards.
Although DC received strong results in all Domains the standouts included :
- Domain D Primary: Teaching and Assessing for Learning. 1 of 12 standards rated as ‘Exceeded’. 1 Major and 7 Minor Commendations. 1 Minor Recommendation.
- Domain D Secondary: Teaching and Assessing for Learning. 1 of 12 standards rated as ‘Exceeded’. 1 Major and 5 Minor Commendations. 1 Minor Recommendation.
- Domain E: The Students’ Learning and Wellbeing. 2 of the 9 standards rated as “Exceeded”. 7 Minor Commendations. 1 Minor Recommendation.
- Domain H: Community and Home partnerships. Both Standards rated as ‘Exceeded”. 3 Major and One Minor Commendation. No Recommendations.
