You will have seen the news about the recent number of cases of dengue fever across HK. In response to this the school has stepped up our mosquito (and insect) control processes, including checking the effectiveness of our mosquito machines as well as more regular checks for standing water, including in drains, gutters, plant pots, tree stumps, garden and pond areas, etc. This is especially so after rainfall.
In discussions with DB Management this week, we are aware that they have increased their staff in response to the threat and added extra fogging, etc. We encourage all members of our community to be vigilant around this in order to minimise the risk of any cases here in Discovery Bay.
