Congratulations to our Cobras Netball teams this year. It has been a good year with two banners and some positive results over the two HKNA seasons. On top of this was an enjoyable exchange with the South Afrikaans Schools Fast 5 team and two friendly tournaments of Fast 5s within the ISSFHK in May.
DC Cobras Netball will move away from the HKNA competition in the 2019-20 year and enter the ISSFHK Netball Competition. This will put netball in line with all other sports which play during the school week, against other schools and allows us to host games at DC. Competitions will run as below:
- U16 & U20 – Season 1 (2 September – 1 November). Games are likely to be played on Tuesday afternoons (this is to be confirmed) from 4-6pm.
Trials for these teams will take place on Tuesday 11 June from 7-8am. Any girls interested in representing the DC Cobras in Netball for Season 1 of the ISSFHK must attend as teams will be entered based on numbers at the trials.
- U12 & U14 – Season 4 (13 April – 5 June). Games are likely to be played on Tuesday afternoons (this is to be confirmed) from 4-6pm.
We encourage U12 & U14 players to contact the DB Pirates if they wish to explore playing in the HKNA and to keep up training for the Season 4 ISSFHK competition. The DB Pirates have their trial day on the Thursday 20 June at DC. Please see the attachment for more information.
In cooperation with the DB Pirates, the DC Cobras will look to host at least 2 invitational tournaments for our U8 & U10 Netballers. As well, we will put together a DC Cobras Year 5/6 Netball team to compete at the HKPSSA Kowloon and Championship Netball Tournaments in November/December 2019. Full information about DC Cobras Netball can be found on Ding!
