It’s Box of Hope Season – can we beat 626?

Posted: October 25, 2019

Box of Hope is an annual charity project aimed at providing useful/educational gifts to underprivileged children in Hong Kong & Asia donated by Hong Kong school children and local organisations.

Over the past week your child has learned about Box of Hope and has received a sticker outlining how to create a Box of Hope for an underprivileged child. Please click here for a digital copy if you need to print a copy out. We encourage you, over the next two weeks, to find and fill an old shoe box with NEW interesting and EDUCATIONAL gifts at home and drop them off at school. All boxes will be collected in the week of Monday 4 November 2019 and delivered directly to the children in need. Last year we collected 626 boxes, this year we want to break 650.

Students who are interested can win a stationery pack or a stationery hamper simply by designing a fabulous Box of Hope. Winners will also have the opportunity to deliver boxes to children in HK. They should email a picture of their decorated box to designcomp@boxofhope.org before Saturday 9 November. Last year we created a short video to recognise and celebrate the incredible kindness and generosity of our community’s Box of Hope collection – take a moment to watch. If you have any question please contact Tracey Chitty at tracey.chitty@dc.edu.hk.
