Primary Update

Posted: September 15, 2023

Dear parents and carers

I hope this message finds you well during the unexpected weather conditions we have had of late! Last Friday, we had planned to celebrate International Literacy Day, but unfortunately, the weather had other plans. However, we didn’t let that dampen our spirits! We carried out some activities and have extended them to this week to make the most of the hard work and planning that went into them.

I wanted to take this opportunity to share some of the wonderful photos of our students to make you smile.

A reminder of the Parent Information Fair on Monday 18 September. To all of those signed up we cannot wait to see you. If you can spare some time to come and visit us we would be thrilled to see you. If you would prefer a coffee with leaders of the school our coffee morning is scheduled for Tuesday 26 September.

Calling all parent volunteers!

We are thrilled to invite you to join our team as a parent volunteer for upcoming trips, parent reading activities, and other exciting events where you can make a difference in our students’ lives.

While specific dates, times and events are yet to be confirmed, we encourage you to express your interest in becoming a parent volunteer by following these simple steps:

1) Email us a copy of your HKID for registration purposes.
2) Complete the Volunteer Registration Form, which we will provide to you.
3) Fulfil the online declaration for child protection, ensuring a safe environment for our students.

By registering as a parent volunteer and completing these necessary steps, you play a vital role in strengthening our school community.

To take the first step, kindly email us with a copy of your HKID attached and send it to primary.office@admin.dc.edu.hk. A member of our dedicated team will then reach out to you, guiding you through the Volunteer Registration Form and the online declaration for child protection.

We look forward to your involvement and the positive impact you can make in our school life.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend with your children.

Take care & stay safe,

Mrs Cathrae
