Join the UNICEF SDG Art Competition for Years 4 – 11.

Posted: May 24, 2024

Students from Years 10 and 11 have been working with UNICEF to create Discovery College’s first rendition of the UNICEF SDG Art Competition, targeting DC students between Years 4 and 11. This competition is a great opportunity for students to express themselves through art while advocating for Sustainable Development Goals.

The competition will have three age groups: [Y4 – Y6], [Y7 – Y9] and [Y10 – Y11]. All students are encouraged to participate, regardless of artistic expertise, to strive for a greater cause. Please note that the deadline for your art submission is on 5 June at 23:59. There is no submission fee, but the winner will receive a prize! Shortlisted applicants will receive an opportunity to be featured in a gallery and a sketchbook/watercolour and paintbrush prize, while the top 3 entries will receive trophies and medals. All participants receive a digital certificate of participation.

Through working with UNICEF for this event, the mission is to raise awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals and influence others to take action for our planet. This competition also aims to promote advocacy amongst young students, leading to an even more sustainable future for our community. The team working on this competition goal consists of six members: Rysa Bahri, Katie Parker, Alexander Nolens-Liu, Vivian Gao, Jasmine Yeung, and Yudam Jang.

Please email nolena2@dc.edu.hk, parkek1@dc.edu.hk, or bahrir1@dc.edu.hk if you have any questions or concerns. Best of luck to all competitors!
