The Hong Kong Chess Federation is organising the 2015 Hong Kong Inter-School Team Chess Championship. In teams of 4 players we will play on Sunday 22 March from 9am to 6pm in the Hong Kong China Calligraphy & Arts Centre, G/F Wah Shing Center, 11 Shing Yip Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon.
In previous years more than 40 teams from dozens of schools in Hong Kong registered. Last year one of our Primary teams ended in the top 6 and brought home a prize for the first time and we are keen to participate this year as well. We are looking for Primary and Secondary students, who know the rules of chess, to play in this event.
To prepare for this competition we will be providing some practice for our DC school squad on Saturdays from 3pm-4pm on 28 February and 7, 14 & 21 March at the Discovery Bay chess club Caissa in the North Plaza Community Centre. For registration please inform before 28 February our parent coordinator, David Garceran Nieuwenburg (E: davidgn@caissahk.com or M: 96812896) who will then register the teams and provide you details of the training and coaching as per the above schedule.
